Socks and Sandals is a quirky little place, with amazing views, and only a couple of minutes from the beach. The place is well set up with everything you need for a relaxing time away.

Socks and sandals proved to be a welcome retreat from the demands of our day to day. Comfort has been a priority for this holiday rental and it delivered. Thank you for providing such a welcome space. Watching the fairy wrens playing in the sand was a definite highlight as were the 5pm swims in the water and the quiet solitude of sleepy mornings.

We are returnees, we love the cosy cabin and enjoyed being back again. The atmosphere allows you to wind down and wish you were staying longer, Thank you.

This is our 3rd stay and great to have access to upgraded internet, TV and shower. Pet friendly and even the teenager approved!

The location is stunning with a view of the creek and the sea and the sound of waves crashing on the beach at night. We had some great weather to enjoy the beach and the wildlife. Some TLC for the house would make this an unforgettable holiday location to enjoy with pets.

Had a great time away with my partner and 1 year old son. The location is beautiful with an ocean/river view. Property was abit hard to find hidden away with a small drive way. Few let downs with the TV cracked in the corner could watch the tv but had black through the picture, shower door was broken and there were dirty dishes found in the oven (considering there's a cleaning fee would expect to rock up to a clean property when arrive). The stairs are very steep and small with no light for nighttime to watch where your going. I wouldn't suggest staying here if you have young ones because of the stairs inside and outside the property.

What a view! Superb location only a couple of minutes walk to the beach with a beautiful view to the ocean and gorgeous sunsets. Very well equipped kitchen, the owners have thought of everything. Bed is comfy, A/C very quiet and efficient and overall it is very cosy and comfortable. ALways on the hunt for pet friendly places and this may now be our favourite place in Carrickalinga! Thank you to Sandy the owner for the chocolates and wine she left after we were unable to use the downstairs bedroom due to water damage. We definitely hope to be back!

Thanks for sharing this home. Cosy and small. Would best suited to cooler months when the western sun is mild and you can enjoy the uninterrupted beach/creek view.

Was a wonderful place and made for a very relaxing and refreshing break. Loved the early morning beach walks and relaxing watching the birds, kangaroos and stunning sunsets. Would highly recommend.

The weekend spent at Socks 'N' Sandals was extremely relaxing and better than hubby and I had anticipated. The cabin was extremely clean and had everything we needed for a weekend stay. It was wonderful to bring our two labradors with us as the off leash beach entertained them for hours. We look forward to staying again in the future.

Everything excellent, compact & comfy; near beach, birds, quiet, warm & protected so fab in winter with views of wild sea from warm lounge.(Steep-stairs OK except for infirm elderly.)

I love this place. As soon as you arrive you notice an uninterrupted view across the river to the ocean. The home is tastefully and thoughtfully appointed with everything you need including reliable internet and coffee machine. I have stayed in both summer and winter and it it is a lovely haven in all seasons. It is so private you can dress how you like or not!

Spotless, excellent facilities.Very comfortable . Great value for a couple or larger family. Excellent airconditioning. Great selection of books, CDs, and DVDs for the guests use. A truly relaxing place for a holiday.
