Situated in a quiet location at Carrickalinga Rise, this modern 2 storey home is less than a 10 minute walk to the beach and 3 minute drive to the wonderful township of Normanville. You will find yourself Carried Away in a coastal retreat opposite a large reserve, offering stunning views of the open paddocks stretching from the hills to the sea.

This 3 bedroom home offers two separate living areas, a modern, fully equipped kitchen with new appliances, a Nespresso coffee machine and reverse cycle air conditioning. The open plan living, kitchen and dining are light and airy, with sliding doors opening onto the large decking which runs the full length of the house. Enjoy a glass of champagne while taking in the magnificent sunsets, or a family BBQ on the deck, watching the local birds and wildlife right on your doorstep.

Wake up in the morning to the sound of the birds chirping and the waves rolling in. The master bedroom and ensuite upstairs has direct access to the deck and downstairs you will find the other 2 bedrooms, second living area, full bathroom and laundry.

Carrickalinga has a striking stretch of coastline where the rounded hills of the Fleurieu Peninsula plunge to the sea. Fishing and diving are very popular activities in this area while the Links Lady Bay Golf Course, clubhouse and restaurant are less than 5 minutes away. Play a round of golf, then sit back and enjoy a relaxed lunch or dinner. You can also enjoy a horse ride along the beautiful Normanville Beach or a wine at any of five local wineries.

We stayed at Carrie'd Away over Easter. The property is certainly dog friendly with an upstairs deck which provides plenty of space and some shelter for furry friends. Be aware that the property itself is not fenced, so dogs either need to be on leads or able to be controlled with voice control when outside. There is a very large recreation reserve adjoining the house so plenty of room for dogs and their owners to exercise. The views from the upper level are terrific with some great sunsets.

We had a lovely time. A few minor observations - a few cobwebs indoors and a pet fur in places. The beautiful view couldn’t be fully appreciated as all the windows off the main living area were filthy.

Great place to stay, about 15 minute walk to beach, lots of games, books and things to do and beautiful sea views. It had everything you needed. Showers were temperamental, not very good water pressure and an issue to get the taps on and hot water to work. Downstairs was quite hot, it has ceiling fans but no air-conditioning downstairs so hot to sleep on warm nights. Great place to stay.

Clean + spacious accommodation close to the beach. Was great to be able to bring our dog with us and we loved watching the sunset from the deck :)
