Situated at the top of the hill near the lighthouse, you literally have your choice of beaches on your doorstep, Main Beach, Turners and Whiting Beach are all a short walk down the hill, or choose from any of the other beautiful beaches in Yamba - Pippi Beach, Lovers Point, Convent Beach or a little further out is Angourie with Green Point, Blue Pools, Spooky's Beach & Back Beach. Or choose from fishing and water sports in the Clarence River or Lake Wooloweyah. Park the car and walk to the gift stores, boutiques, grocerystores or cafes, bars and restaurantsin Yamba's Main Street, less than 400m away, or take in a meal and entertainment at the Golf or Bowling Clubs. For those rainy or lazy days, you could catch at movie at Yamba Cinema which is also located just above the main street in Yamba. It is all so close. If you don't feel like walking, there's always the courtesy buses, which are run by both clubs, plus the Yamba Shores Tavern if you feel like a meal and a drink on the river.
Yamba's largest shopping centre, Yamba Shopping Fair is located on the way into town on Yamba Road, approximately 4kms away, or 9 mins drive. This facility includes a Coles, Target Country, Reject Shop, Priceline, and other specialty stores. Outside this complex in Treelands Drive, arecafes and takeaway restaurants, as well as other specialty stores servicing the area.
Exploring the wonders of the Clarence Valley is a must whilst you are visiting. Maclean is a short 20 minute drive away from Yamba, and has wonderful ethnic Scottish elements for visitors to explore, including tartan painted power poles, recipes for traditional scottish feast displayed in the main street, the Scottish Shop, plus plenty of bagpipes. Iluka is accessible by car, 45-50 mins, or take the ferry from the end of River St and cruise across to Iluka, and wander up Iluka's main street towards cafes, gift stores, the Bowling Club,Sedgers Reef Hotel and the Fishermans Co-op.
Major towns of Ballina and Grafton are within an hour's drive, both with airports, largershopping facilities.

We stayed at the lighthouse unit 2 during April school holidays. Great position and could walk to beach, shops and restaurants. Nice and clean and well maintained. Great value for money !!!
We stayed for one week, and other than having to purchase groceries at coles on our first day, we never actually had to use our car again, the central location had us close to 3 to 4 swimming beaches, cafes for breakfast and restaurants for dinner. We loved all that Yamba had to offer, and the people were so friendly. I would suggest that fly screens be put on all windows, as there is no air-conditioning it’s necessary to open windows to catch cool sea breeze but we were being bitten by mozzies :(
Great living area and balcony. Excellent location. Well equipped with a few items that we had forgotten such as soap and bath mat.
