Kalindu L, March 2024

Such an amazing location and the views are to die for. We had an amazing stay!

Asanka W, March 2024

Amazing location with amazing views for a group get away to relax & catch up.

Peter S, March 2024

Excellent in most ways. Door entry was difficult - the locks may need replacing. One window impossible to close (kitchen) and another very difficult (2nd main bedroom). Screen door to balcony u/s and needs replacing.

Bethany J, February 2024

The house has a great wood cabin/shack vibe, is in a great spot with great views. Cool to watch dolphins swim past every day! Be careful up the drive if you have a low car; it's unsealed and a bit rough. The inside is a nice open space with plenty of room to move. Some windows and screen doors have holes/are broken, but the weather was good so it was ok for us. The oven settings have worn away so a bit tricky to use. Could do with a deep clean (dust, cobwebs). Would stay again though.

Nicole B, February 2024

We had the best time in the most beautiful and unique location. It couldnt have been better. It was perfect from the sunsets to the swims and walks and a great place to base ourselves to explore the Fleurieu Peninsula.

Paul L, January 2024

Great place to stay has everything you need, beds were comfortable house was clean and tidy, fantastic views

Stephanie G, October 2023

Comfortable stay, STUNNING VIEWS and the house is just so so cosy! You don’t want to leave the house it’s so relaxing. Bonus points for the great selection of CD’s.

Adele G, October 2023

Incredible stay, loved the private location and homely feel the property had.

Heather M, July 2023

Such a unique property in a beautiful location. It’s cosy, well equipped, and the views are unparalleled. It was very windy during our stay but we got used to the noise. Perfect for a cosy winter getaway!

Scott M, June 2023

Amazing location that is very private. Great to sit on the balcony, listen to the waves and watch the sunset. Highly recommend for a romantic or family getaway.

Fiona W, April 2023

The home is set in an amazing location, set up high, directly overlooking the sea. It would be hard to find a more beautiful view in the area. It is a secluded location, perfect for those looking for somewhere quiet and private. The home itself is a rustic wooden / brick beach shack. It is perhaps not to everyone’s taste. But for a family of 6 with teenagers it was fine for us. There is a very new fridge and microwave, and very effective wood burning stove. All up, a very enjoyable stay.

James M, February 2023

The house is in an unbeatable location. You really feel removed from the world. The shack itself is pretty old and a little tattered, real 'shack' vibes, which was fine for us as a younger group of guests as you could make yourself at home and feel confident nothing could be dirtied or damaged. Even with its age, it still felt clean. Overall I would recommend to the right group of people.

We thoroughly enjoiyed our stay, furniture was all comfortable and kitchen although small was all we required. However alot of maintenance is needed to windows that wont open or shut,as well the balcony is in desperate need of repair. Some serious money needs to spent to maintain this truly wonderful spot to holiday.

Barry G, October 2022

Amazing views and location. Clean. Overpriced for a very basic house, no sheets, no ball for the soccer game.

Susan M, May 2022

We love this house. Homely and comfortable. Just note that the upstairs sofa bed is laughingly uncomfortable - a word of warning if you are counting this for guests. Apart from that, we want for nothing else - perfect!

Teresa R, February 2022

We love this place. We always cook on the barby & watch the sunsets! Hidden paradise. It’s basic inside beds are okay bring your own pillow!

Jarrad B, December 2021

We had a great time and was a perfect little private Beach Shack!

Susie B, December 2021

The position is gorgeous. The sound of the sea, the views. We want to come back. I would however due to Covid use fresh cushion covers each changeover. I would also get the lounge cleaned six monthly. A lovely lovely stay.

Fraser W, November 2021

Stunning sunsets, soothing swims, great family holiday.

Fiona K, November 2021

Great location, photos dont do it justice, felt like in the middle of nowhere with a private beach!

Alan G, October 2021

Failed expectations for the price. 5 night stay ,2 adults for five days ,extra 6 for two nights. The shack handle the numbers okay. Great Views after I cleaned The west facing windows; workable kitchen after I cleaned the built up gunk on cupboard handles ,door edges and microwave exterior .Mezzanine hand rail grease sweat and residue.had to be cleaned . Unblock vacuum to use. Our misfortune to strike a very cold and wet few days : Shack allows cold in ,windows won't close, seals broken.

Teresa, November 2020

A unique place perched on the cliff overlooking the raw ocean. Isolated this 70’s shack is a place to just relax & ponder on the simple things in life. We were lucky enough to see the most amazing storm roll in with a lightening storm that was unforgettable.

Leah, October 2020

This house has a spectacular location, incredible views and a great wood fire. An original 1970's beach shack, it has much retro charm with its wood panelling and mezzanine level.

Renee, October 2020

Beautiful location, secluded and peaceful. So close to the beach, perfect for those who like to explore nature.

Mark, August 2020

Spectacular location private beach secluded and very unique traditional shack

Sarah, July 2020

Stunning location, quiet and undisturbed, beautiful spot in winter - watching the waves and sunset with the beautiful fire inside. We brought our own wood for the fire but there is some at the home too. Kitchen is well stocked with utensils, serving plates etc. Do yourself a favour and walk (carefully!) around the cliff to the right of the home to the beautiful cliff and beach - stunning!!

Christina, July 2020

This location is a dream for those wanting a private beach getaway. We came here for a mini winter babymoon and were relaxed from the moment we arrived. Sitting by the wood fire watching the waves roll in was so lovely on those cold wintery nights. The house is rustic and cozy. The furniture and beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were vintage but clean. The house was surprisingly warm for the middle of winter even without the fire going. Having the beach at your doorstep is a luxury that we loved. The fact that our dog could join us was icing on the cake and he had the time of his life. My only negative was that there was a very strong smell of mould that came from the kitchen cupboards. It was overwhelming every time the cupboards were opened and really put us off using anything in those cupboards. Also a few of the door handles were loose/wobbly and didn't want to open so we just didn't use those doors in case we couldn't get the doors back open.

Manuela, June 2020

Amazing beach house in even better location. Must go and see.

Tjatsnack, March 2020

It was my 19th wedding anniversary & we have always dreamed of staying in this isolated beach shack perched on the cliff. Overlooking the spectacular water of Carackalinga beach. Our family had the best time swimming in the crystal waters, watching the dolphins & playing games. The house is perfect, like walking into a 70s movie, retro, wooden paneled, exquisite sunsets & soulful. Thank you

Dave, March 2020

Stayed for 2 nights for my ladies 60th celebrations. The house was roomy and the views just amazing. Best place I've stayed right on the oceanfront. Would love to revisit with the dogs.

Alexis, February 2020

Amazing location with stunning views over the beach! A classic beach shack with retro vibes and good working amenities. Great helpful communication, would stay again!

LaurenQ, February 2020

Great view of the amazing beach from the balcony and a stylish interior made for a welcoming trip to the beach for a few days!

Saml, January 2020

This house is so lovely. We loved the location even though the weather was a bit cold, hopefully next year when we plan on booking again, the weather will be better. I can't say enough about the house, location, amenities and booking agent. All perfect. Thank you for letting us stay.

Ruth, December 2019

We had a wonderful weekend. Have decided to make it annual

David, October 2019

The house is in an excellent position overlooking the ocean which made the stay very enjoyable. Everything we needed was there.

Mary, October 2019

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This house was recommended to us and we were delighted with it. So many memories made, so relaxing and peaceful. Thank you
