The location of this little gem is without a doubt the real jewel here - not even 15 @ steps to the water's edge from the deck overlooking the beautiful bay........everything you need for the most relaxing time away........my boat also can be stored in the well protected carport, another reason I chose this awesome cottage......

A lovely little cottage with the best spot on the river. We've stayed several times and will again.

We have been staying at this property for the past 3 years & love the position and view from front deck & the fact it is pet friendly, BUT unfortunately there has been no improvement to the comforts for guests. Beds & lounge are extremely uncomfortable: TV is quite old & does not receive digital channels: lighting in kitchen & bedrooms very low voltage. BBQ very old and no lighting to enable cooking in the early evening.

Our stay at Beachcomber was a great experience.. even though the property is an older cottage it presented well! It’s handy to shops & walkways & the outlook from the front patio fantastic.. the outdoor patio chairs are basic & recommend to bring your own for comfort.

We've stayed in this little house several times. It's comfortable, has the best view of the river and wandering distance to the shops.

Great location, sit and relax on the front deck looking across the Burrum River. People watch or throw a line in off the front wall. we have stayed several times over the past couple year and will return in May 2023. Not quite the comforts of home but a relaxing holiday.

Beachcomber is a great holiday rental, perfect spot with excellent views and everyone is so friendly. House is everything you need for a fantastic getaway. We will be back.

The property was absolutely ideal and we thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay.

We really enjoyed out stay at Beachcomber. The most perfect riverfront view, vibes of Death In Paradise. The house is really pretty and had everything essential, my only recommendation would be to bring a couple of comfy outdoors seats. We will book this property again.

We love the position of beachcomber; close to just everything & good yard access for boat. The new shower is great :) Unfortunately double Mattress is one room STILL needs replacing badly as 2 cannot sleep on it due to sag.
Our last stay was disappointing tho as the yard was overgrown, esp under trees, & my dogs were constantly full of khaki prickles. We also picked up a full bag of rubbish,bottle tops,zipties etc from yard that we stepped on or dogs found.Usually yard is good.There also was food left in cupboard & unwashed cutlery in draw. We still love this quaint shack, but its seriously getting dated & unappealing with lack of maintenance, (eg stained kitchen & bedroom ceilings needs cleaning/painting, lounge curtains perishing/outside table held up by random stack of fibro bits/)
We have been coming for over 8 years now,& hope this honest review helps future holidayers have a better more comfortable stay.

We enjoyed our stay at Beachcomber we found everything to be clean and tidy will be back only complaint light in kitchen very dull cant see at night when cooking. otherwise very enjoyable.

Great place to relax

Beachcomber is a great location for the river experience, also perfect location for shops, boat ramp and just plain old relaxation by the waters edge.
We have been holidaying in Beachcomber for aprox 15 years we love it because we catch up with our friends who have been holidaying next door for the same amount of time. On our last night we all had a meal at the Burrum Bowls club the meal was excellent, overall always very happy with our stay.

The location was perfect for what we wanted to do, shops within walking distance, fishing outside the back gate into the river, great location.

Great location right on the water. Very basic quaint beach shack,, perfect for a couple, but would be uncomfortable for more than 2 people due to bed quality. Very pet friendly with secure yard for even small dogs. Great for boaties/ fishing.

Great stay as per usual - very basic accomodation but ok for two people. The Double bed is still horrible & you cant sleep two on it because of this, but the other queen room is ok. Perfect location for the boatie! Pet friendly, inc the yard for small dogs ( no gaps etc)

Basic but good value . They need to supply a heater or let people know that they need to bring one

Beachcomber is a great little rental. Very basic, but location makes up for lack of things like clothes dryer, air con etc, but we find we have rarely missed anything. It is great for a couple, but would struggle with more people for more than a night or 2, as the fold out divan & double bed are pretty average. Very pet friendly, even for small dogs ( fencing is good, and most gaps under fences are blocked.) Yard is huge & ample room to drive in & turn towed boat around in etc. One shortfall is only one open carport attached to back of house- we choose to back boat in for security, & leave car in front. We've stayed 6 times now in beachcomber, and you can't beat the location - right on the water, and a few minutes stroll to shops or boatramps/ beaches ( at low tide) Elders staff have always been mega helpful & friendly & quick to rectify the few problems we have had. We love this little " shack"!

says sleeps 6 but the divan is terrible,can't sleep on it.

An old but adequate riverside cottage. Enough passing activites during the day and nicely peaceful at night. Close to shops which is very convenient. No need to get the car out of the carport. Great for the dog!
